Biography
Andrew Fregly is a distinguished engineer reporting to the chief technology officer. He serves as the senior technology expert in the CTO organization and is focused on researching emerging technologies of interest to Verisign.
Most recently Andrew worked at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority as associate vice president of enterprise architecture. He managed the senior software architects within FINRA’s major lines of business and led the ongoing evolution of FINRA’s enterprise architecture.
Prior to that, Andrew had leadership positions in software consulting companies and software product companies ranging from ownership to CTO to lead architect. He has also provided independent consulting and technical services to Fortune 500 corporations and major government agencies with a focus on information retrieval, knowledge management, workflow, document management, and case management. Andrew began his career as a programmer/analyst for General Electric, AMF, and Scicon Systems Control. Over his career, Andrew has been the inventor on numerous patents.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Maryland.
